Sean Paul has spent decades making the world move, but in 2025, the global dancehall superstar reminded us that his impact extends far beyond the dance floor.
From commanding stages across the country on the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour Presented by Capital One to releasing deeply personal new music and spearheading major hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica, the entertainment icon closed out the year by turning celebration into purpose — and he’s only getting started.
Celeb Secrets caught up with Sean Paul backstage at Y100.7’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2025 at Miami’s Kaseya Center on Saturday, December 20, just moments after he delivered one of the night’s most electric and meaningful sets.

As the final stop of the national iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, Miami brought together a stacked lineup featuring BigXthaPlug, Feid, Kehlani, mgk, MONSTA X, Nelly, Zara Larsson — and, of course, Sean Paul, who turned the arena into a full-on dancehall celebration.
The Jamaican hitmaker had the crowd on its feet from the jump, ripping through a hit-packed set that spanned generations, including “Get Busy,” “Gimme The Light,” “Give It Up to Me,” “Baby Boy,” “Cheap Thrills,” “No Lie,” and “We Be Burning.” When the unmistakable opening notes of “Temperature” hit, the building erupted — and Sean Paul made the moment even more unforgettable by inviting a group of kids onstage to dance alongside him, creating a joy-filled, heartwarming highlight that perfectly captured the spirit of the night.
But the party didn’t stop there.
At the end of his set, Sean Paul used his platform to call on the crowd to support relief efforts for Jamaican families affected by Hurricane Melissa, urging fans to donate to ongoing fundraisers and stand with his home country during its recovery.

That same sense of responsibility has defined Sean Paul’s year offstage, especially following the devastation Hurricane Melissa caused across Jamaica and neighboring islands in late October.
“It’s been crazy… about six or seven weeks,” Sean Paul told Celeb Secrets backstage. “There’s a lot of damage, and all the work that me and my foundation have done — it’s not budging what it’s been. We’re just trying to provide relief at this point. Help people build back as much as possible.”
Through the Sean Paul Foundation, the artist has been actively distributing food, building supplies, and resources to heavily impacted parishes, staying hands-on in communities facing a long road to recovery.
“It’s been something that’s really draining,” he admitted. “But I felt blessed by God and felt like I have to help.”
That commitment is powerfully reflected in his inspiring new single, “Faith We A Keep,” released on Friday, December 12 via Dutty Rock Productions. Dedicated to the people of Jamaica, the song blends spiritual reflection with Sean Paul’s unmistakable energy, serving as both a prayer and a declaration of resilience.
“’Cause when the road is rocky, I man still standing up / When the load is heavy, Jah Jah still guiding us,” he sings — lyrics that resonate deeply with communities displaced and rebuilding in the wake of the storm.
“‘Faith We A Keep’ is for every Jamaican holding on, rebuilding, and believing in a brighter tomorrow,” the 52-year-old shared in a statement. “This song is my prayer, my encouragement, and my tribute to the resilience of our people.”

The single arrived just ahead of Sean Paul’s appearance at the Jamaica Strong Benefit Concert, held at UBS Arena in New York and streamed live on YouTube. The star-studded event brought together Caribbean icons including Shaggy, Ky-Mani Marley, Marcia Griffiths, Tessanne Chin, Aidonia, Chronic Law, KES, and more to raise vital funds for hurricane recovery.
With 100% of donations raised through YouTube’s tools going directly to relief efforts via Shaggy’s Make a Difference Foundation, the night served as a powerful reminder of music’s ability to unite cultures, generations, and communities for a greater cause.
“Watching is supporting. Donating is rebuilding,” the concert’s release stated, which is a sentiment Sean Paul has embodied every step of the way.

As 2025 came to a close, Sean Paul said he’s most proud of something a little closer to home.
“That my kids are finally learning my songs,” he laughed. “I just feel good to still be touring, feel awesome to be in the buildings — so thank you, Jingle Ball.”
And when it comes to 2026, his outlook is rooted in gratitude, growth, and good energy.
“More music, building back, feeling good about life,” he told us. “That’s the most important thing for me. Everything else is butter on the top. Once you wake up and you’re like, ‘Yes — give thanks for life.’ That’s what I want every morning.”
