Taylor Swift is Turning Heads During Her Return to the VMAs Red Carpet

Taylor Swift is not going unnoticed at the 2022 MTV VMAs. Not that she ever goes unnoticed, but you know what we mean.

She stepped out on the black carpet today (August 28) in an unforgettable jewel encrusted dress designed by Oscar De La Renta. It’s her first appearance since at the famed award show since 2019.

Accompanying her dress were matching Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, Christian Louboutin heels and her signature red lip with diamonds around her eyes.

“Team All Too Well bringing the emotional pain to the VMAs…” Swift captioned her TikTok video showing off her VMAs outfit.

The 11-time VMA winner is up for five awards this year — all of them for her 10 minute version of the music video for “All Too Well” (Taylor’s Version). The nominations include Video of the Year, Best Longform Video, Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Editing.

Taylor Swift took home her first win of the night for Best Longform Video, going up against Madonna (Madame X), Foo Fighters (Studio 666), Olivia Rodrigo (OLIVIA RODRIGO: driving home 2 u), Billie Eilish (Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Long Angeles), and Kacey Musgraves (star-crossed).

The GRAMMY-winning artist is no stranger to breaking records and creating history. If “All Too Well” (10 minute version) (Taylor’s Version) takes home the award for Video of the Year, it would make history as the longest music video to do so.

It would also up the number of total wins in that category for Taylor Swift to three. She previously won Video of the Year for “Bad Blood” and “You Need to Calm Down”– and if she adds “All Too Well” (10 minute version) (Taylor’s Version) to that list, she would make history as the artist with the most wins in that category.
