Adam Devine Tapped to Host the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards

MTV

A host has been confirmed for the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards

Comedian, film, and TV star Adam Devine will be the official host for the network’s inaugural event.

“I’m so excited to host the ‘MTV Movie & TV Awards,’” said Adam Devine. “I have dreamed about it since I was a teenager. It was usually a dry dream, but I would be remiss if I didn’t admit that sometimes it was wet.”

In a first-of-its-kind move, MTV is blending nominees across movies and television where actors from all screens can vie for the Golden Popcorn in the same categories. Additionally, the show will break down the gender wall with exclusively non-gendered categories. Nominees and performers will be announced at a later time.

The 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards will air LIVE from the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, May 7th @ 8PM ET/PT on MTV.
