Fans Help Make Zedd and Liam Payne’s “Get Low” Music Video Incredible

There’s a pretty embarrassing story behind the first time I ever heard Zedd and Liam Payne‘s new song together, “Get Low.” I actually experienced the single at a weeknight Zumba class at my gym, surrounded by soccer moms and groups of fit-minded high schoolers — if you can believe that. As soon as my instructor turned up the volume and I could hear Liam’s familiar voice pumping through the speakers, I stopped in my ultra-choreographed tracks and immediately thought: “How could I, a longtime celebrity news journalist and professional One Direction fan be hearing this collab out in public of all places?! Am I so late that my fitness instructor has already memorized a dance to this song?!”

But you see, my Zumba teacher prides herself in being ahead of the curve and the first to new music launches. In fact, she even has a “no Shazam’ing” rule for her class, since she just knows someone is going to be trying to keep up with her. So there I was looking foolish as I only knew *academically* that two of my favorite artists had teamed up, but never heard the finished result.

Liam Payne Drops a Dance Video for “Strip That Down”

So when the guys’ video for the song dropped, you know I clicked that link in 0.000004 seconds in attempts to be the first one with eyeballs on it this time around.

To film their music video together, Zedd and Liam took to the streets of London to capture the city’s genuine flavor, and that means that fans, locals, and tourists alike all got to be a part of filming! There are ultra-talented street performers dotting the sidewalks of London on any given day, but I would still 100% lose my mind if I happened to see some of the world’s biggest, hottest artists walking through Trafalgar Square with nothing but a keytar and a camera crew in tow.

On Instagram, Liam thanked participating fans for being a part of this exciting moment as he embarks on his solo career, but surely everyone involved is sharing in the excitement.

These onlookers did a great job at learning the song’s “hands on your hips, let’s go!” moves too. (I mean, not as amazing as my girl Susan from Wednesday night Zumba, but a solid pass all around.)

Make sure to check out Zedd and Liam’s new video in its entirety below to see the incredible vibes the guys created, and let us know if you’re into it by sharing your reactions!
