
Heartwarming moment between Minari Director Lee Isaac Chung and his daughter
After actress Gal Gadot announced that Minari won “Best Foreign-Language Film,” director Lee Isaac Chung’s daughter climbed into her father’s arms in rejoice and happiness for his win. Before he begins his speech, you can hear his daughter shout out, “I prayed! I prayed!” in excitement. Lee shared in his acceptance speech that his daughter is the entire reason he made the film. He also mentioned, “Minari is about a family. It’s a family trying to learn how to speak a language of its own. It goes deeper than any American language and any foreign language; it’s a language of the heart,” which made this heartwarming family moment all the more special for the win.
