Faith, Fire, and Destiny: “House of David” Celebrates Its Return to Prime Video with an Epic Season Two Premiere in Nashville

It was a night to remember in Music City as the cast of House of David descended on Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts for the show’s Season Two premiere this past Tuesday (September 30). From the moment the stars stepped onto the red carpet, the energy was electric — filled with faith, excitement, and family vibes as fans, filmmakers, and faith-driven creators gathered to celebrate one of the most ambitious biblical dramas on television.

The Nashville premiere marked not only the return of House of David but also the launch of Wonder Project’s new subscription on Prime Video, a curated streaming experience founded by Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten and Jon Erwin designed to “entertain the world with courageous stories, inspiring hope, and restoring faith in things worth believing in.”

Headlining the debut is House of David’s two-episode Season Two premiere, hitting Wonder Project’s Prime Video hub TODAY (October 5). With over 125 titles spanning genres and generations — from Dead Poets Society and The Sound of Music to Jesus Revolution and Party of Five — Wonder is redefining what it means to make faith-based storytelling cool, cinematic, and binge-worthy.

“The fans wanted something, and the directors, producers, and the actors — who are like a family — we all delivered,” Alexander Uloom told Celeb Secrets on the red carpet. “They wanted more action and romance, and it’s exactly what we gave them.”

Uloom, who portrays King Achish, teased that this season digs deeper into the complexities of his character, blending intensity and humanity in ways fans might not expect.

“He comes off as a villain,” Uloom explained. “But later on, you come to find out he’s not really a villain. He’s a human being, and something has happened in his life that made him the way he is.”

Meanwhile, Michael Isklander, who steps back into the sandals of David himself, told Celeb Secrets that viewers can expect a major evolution in both the character and the storytelling.

“In Season One, I had my little sling and was throwing around rocks,” he laughed. “Now in Season Two, I got my fair share of swords and stunts. It’s really indicative of David’s growth — we see him go from a shepherd and poet to a mighty figure transformed by God’s calling.”

At the end of the day, faith remains at the center of everything House of David represents — both on-screen and off.

“The whole show is based on faith,” Uloom shared. “I’m hoping people take messages from that. David walked by faith, not by sight — and trusted God and himself. There are a lot of other messages like that throughout Season Two.”

Both actors said the experience of filming Season Two strengthened their sense of purpose and gratitude, especially as part of a cast that feels more like family than coworkers.

“You’re only as good as the people in front of you,” Uloom reflected. “As an actor, I take energy from all around me, and my castmates have been nothing but phenomenal. When you work with love and give that energy, that’s exactly what’s going to reflect with other people.”

And from the sound of it, the new season doesn’t waste any time drawing viewers in.

“Episode One and Episode Two… I can’t wait for people to see them,” Uloom teased. “It starts off crazy. You’ll know why once you watch.”

Isklander agreed, adding that the scope and production value have skyrocketed since Season One.

“The level of choreography and stunt work is a testament to our incredible team,” he said. “Our stunt team, costume department, hair and makeup — it’s really a team effort. I’m just so proud of all of us coming together to bring Season Two to life.”

With its blend of heart, heroism, and holy purpose, House of David Season Two continues to prove why Wonder Project is leading the charge for a new wave of faith-forward entertainment that’s both cinematic and deeply human.

“It was all meant to be,” Uloom told Celeb Secrets. “God had a plan for all of us to be here.”

You can catch House of David Season Two premiering exclusively on Wonder Project’s Prime Video subscription here beginning TODAY (October 5) and see why this series isn’t just about ancient battles and royal destinies. It’s about courage, faith, and the timeless reminder that when you walk by faith, anything is possible.
