If there was ever a weekend that confirmed Adrien Nunez is no longer just “one to watch,” it was Stagecoach 2026.
Between multiple high-energy sets, a surprise late-night run with Diplo, and the debut of their brand-new collaboration “Two Steppin’,” the rising country disruptor didn’t just show up — he took over.
“It’s felt like a dream,” Nunez tells Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder backstage, still buzzing from the desert whirlwind. “It’s been awesome.”
And honestly? That might be the understatement of the weekend.
For Nunez, Stagecoach wasn’t a one-and-done moment. It was more like a full-on marathon. From his early afternoon set to a packed Bud Light Stage performance and multiple appearances alongside Diplo, the Brooklyn-born artist barely had time to catch his breath.
“We did the first performance at 2:00 PM on Friday, then 4:45 in Bud Light,” he shares. “And then I’ve been going on with Diplo pretty much at all of his sets… it’s been go for the past three days and it hasn’t stopped.”
That non-stop energy? It’s exactly what he dreamed of.
“It’s everything I wanted it to be and everything I thought it would be,” he says.
Sleep, however, was optional.
“Yeah, not really,” he laughs. “But this is what it’s for. We’re here for a couple days and a couple days only.”
In true 2026 fashion, one of the most exciting country-meets-dance crossovers of the year started… in the DMs.
“He just DM’d me and was like, ‘yo, I got an idea for a song,’” Nunez recalls. “And I’m like, ‘yeah, okay, let’s do it.’”
What followed was a whirlwind creative process that felt as spontaneous as it was electric.
“All of a sudden he sent me the song, and then I was in the studio the next day,” he says. “I cut it, sent it back, and he was like, ‘that’s great — come to my house and we’ll do a real session.’”
That session? Exactly as chaotic and iconic as you’d imagine.
“It was his birthday… he’s getting a haircut, on like three Zooms, and still popping in to direct the song,” Nunez says, shaking his head. “He never stops. He’s on a different level.”
Out now via Atlantic Outpost, “Two Steppin’” is a genre-blending, high-energy track that captures both artists’ strengths — country storytelling meets dance floor-ready production.
“I’m really excited for this song,” Nunez says. “It’s one of those that just feels fun from the first listen.”
“Adrien and I knew we made something special with this track,” echoes Diplo. “It was only right that we debuted it at Stagecoach — it’s the biggest party in country music, there’s no place like it.
That sense of freedom was intentional.
“I’ve always loved music that makes people want to move,” Adrien continues. “Blending that country energy with dance music felt like the perfect way to create something wild, upbeat and made for a good time.”
And judging by the Stagecoach crowd reaction? Mission accomplished.
“The energy’s been nuts every time he plays the song,” Nunez says. “It felt like a movie.”

If you’ve been following Nunez’s rise (and we know you have), you’ve watched him evolve from viral country newcomer to a fully realized artist carving out his own lane. Now, he’s leaning into that growth more than ever.
“I think I’m learning as I go,” he says. “That’s the beauty of art.”
Instead of chasing past success, he’s focused on something deeper.
“What I really want people to know is what I’m putting out is what I’m feeling,” he explains. “Trying to be as authentic and tapped in with those feelings as I can.”
Beyond “Two Steppin’,” Nunez is quietly building what might be his most important project yet: his debut album. And this time, he’s taking his time.
“It’s the first time I’ve really been able to sit with the songs and work on them,” he says. “I think it’s the best stuff I’ve done so far.”
Sonically, fans can expect an evolution — not a reinvention. “It’s just more cohesive,” he explains. “It leans more country while still keeping my roots in that folk-pop space.”
In other words: the Adrien Nunez you know, just sharper, stronger, and more intentional.
“I feel like trying to chase a moment… that’s not it,” he admits. “It’s about what’s resonating with me right now.”
And right now? Everything seems to be clicking.
