If you grew up during the golden age of MTV‘s Making the Band, chances are Ashley Parker Angel’s frosted tips, bright blue eyes, and soaring vocals were plastered all over your bedroom walls. From topping the charts with O-TOWN’s iconic hit “All or Nothing” to commanding the Broadway stage for over 2,000 performances in smash hits like Wicked and Hairspray, Ashley spent two decades in the relentless spotlight.
Today, the pop-culture icon turned wellness guru is channeling that exact same star power into a brand-new, game-changing venture — and he’s bringing all the Y2K nostalgia along for the ride.
Celeb Secrets caught up with Ashley back in May at his packed “High Level Happy Hour” pop-up event at GNC in Times Square, where fans lined up around the block to snap photos, chat health, and sing boy band karaoke with the heartthrob. The event celebrated the official national launch of his supplement company, High Level Science, now available exclusively at nearly 1,000 GNC stores nationwide.

Navigating world tours, non-stop Broadway schedules, and instant fame at 18 takes a heavy physical and mental toll. After years of battling anxiety, exhaustion, and the pressure of the entertainment industry, Ashley realized he had to revolutionize his approach to his health.
“I’ve been America’s guinea pig,” Ashley tells Celeb Secrets exclusively. “I’ve taken so many things that didn’t work for me, that were disappointing… You open up Instagram or TikTok, and you have a thousand different things being advertised. So what do you take? Well, that’s the question that we wanted to solve with High Level Science — putting the science back into supplementation.”
Co-founded alongside world-renowned master interventional cardiologist Dr. David G. Rizik, High Level Science was built to deliver research-driven, medical-grade formulas that eliminate confusing market fluff. Their flagship formulas, including High Level Man® and High Level Heart + Body + Mind™, feature pure, bioavailable ingredients like CoQ10, omega-3s, and vitamin E to target cellular energy and healthy aging.
“Broadway’s the hardest gig I ever did. Eight shows a week, and you get one day off and you just sleep all day,” Ashley reflects. “If I hadn’t started prioritizing my physical, mental, and emotional health, I don’t think I would’ve been able to consistently beat out thousands of other performers for these coveted roles. When you exercise, you come up against an obstacle and you have to overcome it. It’s a great metaphor for life.”

While High Level Science is grounded in cutting-edge clinical research, Ashley knows exactly how to connect with the fans who have stood by him since 2000. Enter the “Making The Brand” GNC Tour — a clever play on his MTV roots where Ashley is visiting over 700 GNC stores across the country to bring Y2K mall culture back to life.
“Us millennials get it because we already lived it, and now we’re reliving it again,” Ashley laughs, pointing out how late ’90s fashion, boy bands, and in-person hangouts are making a massive comeback. “There’s a big movement in our culture to get off your screen, to get off the couch, to go into the real world again… So by tapping into late ’90s, early 2000s mall culture, I’m going to GNCs, bringing back all those things that were happening around that Y2K movement.”
And yes, that means full-blown karaoke sessions in the middle of GNC stores everywhere from Times Square to Las Vegas.

Ashley’s transition into wellness comes at a meaningful time of reflection. He recently appeared in Joey Fatone’s acclaimed ID/HBO Max docuseries, Boy Band Confidential, alongside legends like Lance Bass, AJ McLean, and Nick Lachey. The series pulls back the curtain on the triumphs and dark underbelly of late-’90s teen stardom, including their experiences with Lou Pearlman.
“The feedback on the documentary has been amazing. It’s been all love,” Ashley shares. “As a culture, we’re talking more openly about so many things… This was the perfect time to share some of these stories — definitely things I had been through that I hadn’t talked about before. It’s been great to see the support from fans.”
So, could a return to the stage ever be in the cards?
“I do think being a performer is always gonna be in me, and life is long,” Ashley smiles. “I played Fiyero in Wicked, so I always say I’m gonna go back and play the Wizard someday in Wicked — like, in my 60s and 70s! But for this chapter right now, it’s all about High Level Science and really spreading this message of health and wellness.”
