Abby Anderson is showing her love for husband Tyler Graham!
The 27-year-old country songstress is showcasing a unique side of her artistry thanks to clever lyrics and rich melodies with her latest single “If You Killed Somebody,” which dropped on all music streaming platforms last Friday (May 3).
Tapped as a “dedicated anthem about loyalty in even the most extreme of circumstances” in a press release, the song’s playful tone and hypotheticals inspires listeners to imagine the depth of love it creates as the fiery ballad of devotion builds. Backed by effortless guitar plucking, Abby’s vocals are at the forefront as she declares to her lover, “If you killed somebody. I’d hide the body.”
“It’s about my husband because I love him and I’d do anything for that man,” Abby tells Celeb Secrets backstage following her Stagecoach performance last weekend in Indio, CA. “I don’t write a lot of love songs, but he does inspire me every day. I don’t even need to write songs for him because I’m just happy.”

“If You Killed Somebody” is just one of the many things that usher in a new era for the one to watch, which she says finds her feeling the most confident she’s ever been.
“I just like feel so much more confident now,” Abby says, who signed her first record deal with Black River Entertainment at 19-years-old. “I’m 27 now. I still don’t know sh**t, but I do know what I do and don’t like and I’m a lot better at advocating for myself and saying yes. I settled so much and I just made the little things, like wearing stuff you don’t like, and like, even down to the logo, not loving it but thinking, like, ‘that’s as good as it’s gonna be.'”
“Now, I feel great. I feel confident. I feel fearless… and I love the stuff I’m writing. Like, I freaking love it,” she adds.

Finding yourself in such a fast-paced and demanding environment is never easy, however, Abby says that adding other female artists into her circle — like country music breakout Brittney Spencer — makes her “feel seen” when things get tough.
“She’s just the realest girl in the world. You can tell her anything. She’s a girl who is genuine,” the 27-year-old says of Spencer, who stopped by to say hello backstage for a sweet BFF moment at Stagecoach.
“You need that specifically with artists because it can feel lonely. And you’re like, ‘Am I the only one discouraged as hell right now? Are other people feeling this?’ I think as girls, we’re trained to put on a tough face and it’s like ‘no dude, it’s ok to cry. It’s ok to get down.’ It’s great to have girlfriends who make you feel seen, and [Brittney] is one of those people,” she continues.

Aside from releasing new music, Abby has been busy on the road playing shows across North America at festivals like Stagecoach, as well as select dates on Tim McGraw‘s Standing Room Only Tour. She’s even got two headlining shows that she’s completely “stoked” about, which include one at the Bowery Ballroom in New York on June 1st and The Troubadour in Los Angeles on June 6th.
“He’s stunning. He’s just a gorgeous, gorgeous man. I’m lucky to be breathing in the vicinity of him… it’s incredible. He’s just a class act,” Anderson says of McGraw. “And watching Carly [Pearce] — she’s a freaking star. Her vocals do not miss. I just feel [really] lucky.”
