Addison Rae is ready to tackle the horror genre with her second feature film and lead role.
The TikTok star, who received her first acting break in Netflix’s 2021 adaptation of She’s All That, titled He’s All That, will appear in a horror thriller as her follow-up project.
Rae will play the lead role in Eli Roth’s film Thanksgiving, which is based on a faux trailer he created for the 2007 film Grindhouse, a double feature from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. The horror teaser for the faux movie featured a killer cutting his own carving board out of the residents of a Massachusetts village that celebrates Thanksgiving every year.
Since the original Grindhouse release 15 years ago, preparations have been made to film a feature-length blood feast with Roth at the helm, Rae to lead, and Grey’s Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey to feature in still unknown role.
The 22-year-old shared the casting announcement on her Instagram page. Followed by Roth sharing it to his Instagram Story with the mysterious caption “All will be carved.”
