Serving her signature blend of modern-meets-classic country, Ashley doesn’t hold back on this track, dishing out a savage warning to an ex who thought moving on with someone new would somehow be a flex. Written by Frank Stopak, Quinn Loggins, Larry McCoy, and Ryan herself, “Wrong Post” is basically the breakup therapy session we all needed—packed with cheeky lyrics, killer instrumentation, and that powerhouse vocal grit we’ve come to expect from our girl.
“‘Wrong Post’ came about after, you guessed it, a relationship gone south,” Ashley says in a statement. “There is nothing more painful than loving someone who not only doesn’t love you back, but betrays your trust by cheating. After reaching the acceptance stage of grief, I was ready to move on and write my therapy song! ‘Wrong Post’ emphasizes the frustration a girl goes through by being mistreated, but also highlights the satisfaction of watching him get a taste of his own medicine.”
And when it comes to spilling the tea? Ashley understood the assignment.
At CRS 2025, she let us in on a little Celeb Secret of her own. “Don’t get your honey where you get your money,” she dished with a smirk, hinting that the relationship behind the track may have involved someone else in the industry. “I feel like I’m gonna be revealing some truth,” she teased. “It’s technically kind of about someone who is also in the music industry… That quote sticks with me. No more musicians. None of that.”
