BTS’ “Love Yourself: Her” Enters Billboard Hot 200 Chart at No. 7

BTS made chart history this week as their new record, LOVE YOURSELF: ‘Her’ entered the Billboard HOT 200 chart at an impressive #7, making them the first KPOP artists to be able to make that claim.

To further the chart topping pop stars assault on the US Charts, their first single from this comeback project, “DNA” slides onto the HOT 100 at #85 as just announced by BILLBOARD who said:

“BTS achieves the first-ever top 10 for a K-pop act on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as Love Yourself: Her debuts at No. 7 (on the chart dated Oct. 7), earning 31,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Sept. 21, according to Nielsen Music…”DNA,” from the new album, debuts at No. 85, fueled by 5.3 million first-week U.S. streams and 14,000 downloads sold, the latter total also good for a No. 37 debut on the Digital Song Sales chart, where BTS also makes its first appearance.”

BTS reacted to this news by adding:

“As dedicated and passionate artists, BTS, we are thrilled at the success of LOVE YOURSELF: “Her” in its first week entering the Billboard HOT 200 at #7 and the HOT 100 at #85. It shows the impact we are making with our songs about love, relationships, and issues that affect our generation that makes it so amazing for us.  We love our fans and this shows us that they understand our message. We will continue to make great music that transcends languages and cultures.”

Rap Monster says about the album:

“The lyrics were based on rare and special things in life. So, I thought, those feelings transcend genders, cultures and barriers between people…..our young generation are living their lives with low expectations and standards so people are upset with reality; they have little hope and there’s so much economic hardship. We wanted to say something about it and emphasize to the world that it’s not their choice, but brutal reality that forces people to live and spend as if there’s no future.”

The video for the single, “DNA” is at almost 56 million views as of 9/25/2017 with an impressive 17 million streams on SPOTIFY.   Since the album’s’ release on September 18, 2017, the first track, “DNA” has been added to multiple Spotify playlists including Pop Rising, Mood Booster, Hot Rhythmic, and Teen Party.

Congrats BTS on making HISTORY everywhere you go!
