‘Buckle up for and Be Ready for Just How Much Scarier’ Season Three of the Disney Channel Series “Secrets of Sulphur Springs” Is (Exclusive)

Secrets of Sulphur Springs is BACK for its highly-anticipated third season, and it is scarier than ever before!

On Friday (March 24th), everyone’s favorite time-travel mystery series returned to Disney Channel with an exciting two-episode premiere, and we are already hooked.

In season three of this beloved series, a new ghost checks into room 205, ready to torment everyone at The Tremont. After finding out the damage that this ominous figure could cause on their lives, the kids are determined to defeat the ghost throughout this season, but their journey comes with TONS of spooky twists and turns…

In this adventure-filled series, Preston Oliver plays Griffin Campbell and Kyliegh Curran plays Harper Dunn, two characters who undergo a great deal of growth in season three. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Celeb Secrets reporter Melanie Rooten, the duo touched on this growth and more, and they even spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets surrounding the show 👀

When sharing some of the changes her character experiences in season three, Kyliegh Curran explained, “I know with Harper, my character, she goes kind of from this headstrong, sort of stubborn character to kind of growing and being more receptive to her surroundings, and I think it’s really because of Griffin, because he sort of balances them out.”

While Griffin has a strong impact on Harper, it is truly a two-way street, as Harper’s impact on him is just as significant.

“What Harper brings to Griffin is being a little bit spontaneous and a bit more open to helping whoever you can, which is amazing,” Kyliegh revealed, which her co-star quickly bounced off of.

“He’s made so many, so many friends. He’s made friends with Savannah, great friends with Harper, you know, he’s gotten closer to family, and he’s matured in a way where he just cares for everybody a lot more, and he wants to make sure everybody’s safe,” Preston shared.

Not only do these characters mature in the show, but portraying Griffin and Harper on-screen has showed Preston and Kyliegh valuable qualities in which they have implemented into their personal lives.

Kyleigh opened up to us and revealed that if she were to pinpoint one thing she has learned from playing Harper in Secrets of Sulphur Springs, it is that “It’s okay to be vulnerable.”

“I think I’ve learned along with Harper to be a bit less shed up because she starts out the season, you know, stubborn and kind of headstrong,” Kyliegh shared. “She’s not very receptive to outside advice, but as we watch her in season three, you see that she’s really opened up and started to listen to a lot of people, and I love that side of her.”

As for the impact that playing Griffin has had on Preston, he explained, “Griffin really cares for everybody that he sees… That’s stayed with me forever.”

“I’m the same way. You know, if somebody that I really care for is going through a hard time, you know, I want to be there for them,” the 17-year-old revealed passionately. “Anybody in general, somebody who’s feeling down, you know, I like to kind of step in, figure it out and boost their mood a lot.”

Aside from Griffin and Harper maturing as characters, there are quite a few key differences in Secrets of Sulphur Springs third season that allow it to stand out from its previous two seasons.

“This season we have the whole family,” Preston shared. “We have a big group to solve the mystery of this ghost,” which is unlike anything we have seen in the series before.

“Another thing that’s different from the past seasons is this ghost is a lot more aggressive and like scarier, and he really is wanting to haunt us rather than trying to be freed,” he continued, revealing another key difference of season three. “That’s one thing to like buckle up for and be ready for is just how much scarier it is compared to the last two.”

After seeing the ICONIC two-episode premiere, we promise that this ghost will keep us on the edge of our seats all season long…

As a whole, Preston revealed that if fans were to take away just one thing from Secrets of Sulphur Springs season three, “it is definitely what people can do together as a friend group or just as a group in general, like family.”

“Doing something alone is not as powerful at all as you would with a bunch of family members or a bunch of friends together, and this season definitely shows how how much of a difference one person compared to eight people can do,” he continued.

With powerful themes of friendship and camaraderie tied into a series packed with eeriness and mystery, Secrets of Sulphur Springs is truly a must-see!
