Chrissy Teigen Deletes Twitter Account Due To Negative Energy

Last night (March 24th), Cravings author, Chrissy Teigen deleted her Twitter account but not before posting a tweet thread announcing her departure from the social media platform.

Since the account has been deleted, the tweets are no longer there, but users were quick to take a screenshot of Teigen’s tweets before they were permanently deleted.

“Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world,” Teigen’s statement begins, “I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends.”

She continues her tweet thread saying, “But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something.”

“My life goal is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me,” she continues, “I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not.”

Teigen concludes her tweet thread by saying, “My desire to be liked and fear of pissing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as! Live well, tweeters. Please know all I ever cared about was you!!!!”

Teigen was known to be very outspoken on the social media platform. From iconic, funny, and relatable tweets to being real and honest about the experiences she’s been through, Teigen was very candid on the site. Many of the tweets also included anecdotes from her cooking experiences or funny moments with her husband, John Legend, and kids.

The Internet has had a mixed reaction to the model leaving the platform, many were empathetic towards her, feeling sorry that the place she once found a positive environment was now tarnished, and the others were quite unkind, celebrating the fact that she left.

Although she’s left Twitter, you can still keep updated with what the 35-year-old mother is up to on Instagram.

We’re happy that Teigen made the decision to do what she felt was best for herself and her own mental health, but we’ll absolutely miss her iconic, funny tweets on the website!
