Disney just dropped the first trailer for Cruella, giving us a first glimpse at Emma Stone‘s stunning and maddening performance as the infamous 101 Dalmations villain, Cruella De Vil.
The entertainment company uploaded the trailer on all their social media platforms, captioning the video, “Brilliant. Bad. A little bit mad.” And a little bit mad, indeed!
The trailer takes place prior to the beloved Disney classic films, depicting the origin story of the legendary villain. We are transported back to 1970s London and Cruella is discovering her love for fashion design and a specific animal’s skin. The trailer slowly transitions, showing Stone’s incredible performance of the antagonist becoming madder and madder.
Alongside Stone, the movie also stars Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, and Mark Strong.
