Enter Kali Uchis’ Celestial Dreamscape with New Single “Moonlight” (Listen)

Kali Uchis has paved her way and made a name for herself within the music industry. In nearly a decade, the fearless artist went from making mixtapes in her lived-in Subaru to becoming a GRAMMY Award-winning singer.

Uchis has joined forces with notable names in entertainment such as – The Gorillaz, Tyler the Creator, Steve Lacy, Kaytranada, and many more.

The artist has released countless hit singles like “After the Storm,” “telepatia,” “angel,” and “Melting,” – continuing that string of heart-fluttering melodies with her latest single, “Moonlight.”

Following the single “I Wish You Roses,” which the artist released earlier this month – Uchis has released “Moonlight,” the most recent single from her highly anticipated album, “Red Moon in Venus.” Both singles will be featured on the English language album, which is set to release on March 3rd.

In a recent press release, Uchis shares that “love is the message.”

“Red Moon in Venus is a burning expression of desire, heartbreak, faith and honesty, reflecting the divine femininity of the moon and Venus,” explained Uchis about the album.

The concept of Divine Femininity is one that’s appeared to crossover on her previous work. However, the Colombian-American singer has also embarked on themes of sadness and betrayal on previous albums. For example, like ‘Killer’ off of her 2018 album “Isolation,” as well as themes of love and passion like her hit track “Telepatia” off of her 2020 album “Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios).”

Uchis’ vulnerable side is beautifully unravelled throughout her discography, yet the singles she’s shared off of “Red Moon In Venus” feel almost enigmatic – with evocative lyricism and dreamlike arrangements that only leave you yearning to hear more. We are excited to transcend beyond the stars and enter Uchis’ cosmic realm with this new album she has to share with us March 3.

Following the release of “Red Moon in Venus,” Uchis is set to go on a headlining North American tour, supported by British singer-songwriter RAYE. The tour begins April 25 in Austin, Texas. Be sure to also catch her on this year’s Coachella lineup!
