ERNEST Enlists in Darius Rucker, HARDY, Chase Rice, Mitchell Tenpenny & More for Epic ‘Stars for Second Harvest’ Show in Nashville (Review)

ERNEST took the stage for an unforgettable evening filled with music, laughter, and community at the 2024 Stars for Second Harvest benefit concert on Tuesday (June 4) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The event, which was one of the many leading into CMA Fest 2024 later in the week, was held at the famed Ryman Auditorium in the heart of Downtown and included special performances plus a writers’ round, which ultimately raised funds to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and their efforts to provide foot to people facing hunger and work to advance hunger solutions in the community.

Originally led by frontrunner Craig Wiseman, the songwriter, producer, and owner/founder of the Big Loud enterprise stepped down from his decade-long hosting duties this year to let country music’s biggest trailblazer of this generation take over for an evening that will go down as the most star-studded, top-notch events of the entire festival.

Opening the night with a heartfelt message of thanks to Craig for seeing something in him early on, ERNEST then introduced the songwriters’ round that featured Music City’s most talented, including HARDY, Darius Rucker, Chase Rice, Jamey Johnson and Mitchell Tenpenny. The once-in-a-lifetime round showcased the artists’ true talents, where they sang some of their favorite tracks, biggest No. 1’s, and life-changing tunes that had the sold-out crowd on their feet roaring for more.

After a brief intermission that raised an amount to give more than 1.4 million meals to Second Harvest, ERNEST took the stage to sing songs from his discography, including tracks featured on his critically-acclaimed, recently-released album NASHVILLE, TENNESSEEThe Music City native made sure to bring all the fan favorites for his headlining set, including “Flower Shops,” “Why Dallas” with special guest Lukas Nelson, “Ain’t As Easy” and “Kiss Of Death.”

With a full band in tow, ERNEST gave it his all during his inaugural headlining set. Seeing the audience’s reaction after the chart-topper delivered bop after bop proves that the he’s truly the face of the genre’s modern progression thanks to his honest, relatable lyrics and incredible execution of blending elements from multiple genres that creates an edgy sound that anyone can appreciate.

We can’t wait to see what ERNEST has in store for next year and beyond!
