Attention ladies: we have found your (and our) new obsession! Meet Forever In Your Mind.
You may recognize band members Ricky Garcia, Emery Kelly, and Liam Attridge from shows like The X Factor, Dog With A Blog, and Best Friends Whenever. Maybe you even watched an interview with the guys on our YouTube channel from way back when. No matter where you have seen the guys, we know that sooner or later they will become your newest boyband crush.
In case you didn’t know already, the trio formed after Ricky and Emery appeared on The X Factor; they were put together and named Forever In Your Mind by none other than Simon Cowell. Emery’s cousin, Liam, was a natural fit and rounded out the group. Since then, they have signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records and toured nationally and in Canada as part of the DigiTour. They shared the stage with Fifth Harmony, Jesse McCartney, Demi Lovato and Bea Miller and performed in front of thousands of teens each night, bringing their exuberance and gorgeous three-part harmonies to the stage.
On April 29th, the band released their new and infectious single “Hurricane” that has over 330,000 views on its official music video that you can watch below. Is it just us, or are you getting major flashbacks of Allstar Weekend‘s “Come Down With Love” music video?
What’s next for this super cute trio? Everything. FIYM is set to release their debut EP on July 1st and are expected to tour the US later this year. In addition, the guys have a development deal with Disney Channel for a series based on the band and Ricky’s show Best Friends Whenever will be airing new episodes from the series’ second season. With their music and television careers taking off in 2016, they certainly are up next for greatness!
Celeb Secrets had the opportunity to sit down with the guys in New York City recently to talk all things music and Steven Tyler of course! In our interview, Liam, Ricky, and Emery opened up about their single “Hurricane” and what to expect from their debut EP, the songwriting process for their first ever release, and how they’ve progressed as artists since The X Factor. The guys even talked about their weekend at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and dished about meeting the legend Steven Tyler. Make sure to check out the hilarious video below!
