Jordan Davis & NEEDTOBREATHE Head to Austin for Special CMT Crossroads and CMT Awards Performances

Jordan Davis and NEEDTOBREATHE are headed to the Lone Star State for two very special performances.

The country hitmaker and acclaimed rockers are teaming up for a special outdoor taping of the critically-acclaimed franchise CMT Crossroads ahead of the 2024 CMT Music Awardswhere they will also collaborate for a LIVE first-time performance, the network revealed today (March 22).

CMT Crossroads: NEEDTOBREATHE + Jordan Davis will film in front of a LIVE audience at UT Austin on Friday, April 5th, giving fans a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be a part of CMT’s longest-running music series. For the CMT Awards performance, Davis will make his CMTMA main stage debut, looking to take home his first CMT belt buckles for the heartfelt “Next Thing You Know” video, which earned him 2 nominations in “Male Video of the Year” and the coveted “Video of the Year” category, while NEEDTOBREATHE returns to the CMTMA stage for the first time since their mesmerizing performance of “I Wanna Remember” with Carrie Underwood. The esteemed artists join a growing lineup of performers, which includes Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Sam Hunt and Bailey Zimmermanalong with host Kelsea Ballerini.

Just recently, it was revealed that Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney lead the pack with three nominations each, making it truly a night to remember. In addition, MT is recognizing 14 first-time nominees spanning breakthrough artists to out-of-genre superstars with Amber Riley, Ashley Cooke, Bret Michaels, Chayce Beckham, Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers, Warren ZeidersZach Bryan and four 2024 CMT Next Women of Country members Anne Wilson, Ella Langley, The Castellows and Tigirlily Gold (2x), who are all up for their first ever awards. For the night’s most-coveted category, “Video of the Year,” 16 acts ranging from fresh talent to established names will compete in the first round of voting, including Jelly Roll, Jordan Davis and Parmalee who all make first-time appearances in the category, as well as Kane Brown, who will vie for back-to-back titles, this year with Mickey Guyton. Fans can view a full list of nominees here and vote for their favorites now by visiting vote.cmt.com through April 1st; voting for “Video of the Year” will remain active into the live show.
