Justin Bieber announced earlier Monday morning( Oct. 4) that he has joined forces with Los Angeles- based company, Palms. The megastar has collaborated with the brand to launch his first-ever cannabis product.
Bieber has created a pack of pre-rolled joints, which he is calling “PEACHES.” The simple yet witty name comes from top-charting song off of his recently released record, Justice.
Fans can expect the collection to feature seven 0.5 gram pre-rolls consisting of premium indoor flowers. The specific strains include Indica, Sativa, and citrus terpenes. Along with the joints, each pack consists of a lighter emblazoned with the word peaches.
The unique collab does not come as a surprise, as the “Stuck with U” artist has always been open with fans about his constant struggle with mental health. Bieber revealed that cannabis has helped him to cope.
“I’m a fan of Palms and what they are doing by making cannabis approachable and helping to destigmatize it –- especially for the many people who find it helpful for their mental health,” Bieber said in an emailed statement to Bloomberg. “I wanted to make sure that I was doing something with them that felt genuine, and PEACHES felt like a good place to start,” says Bieber in a recent statement about how the plant has helped himself and others in several different ways.
The founders of PALMS were quick to share their excitement for this collaboration and why they thought Bieber was the perfect fit.
“Justin’s vulnerability and openness about his mental health struggles impressed us beyond measure, and we knew immediately we would want him to be at the helm of our first-ever collaboration,” Palms co-founders, Noah Annes, shared with Vogue.
“With Justin’s help shining the spotlight on these important topics, we hope to inspire others to talk more freely about both mental health and cannabis consumption. Together, we will be able to further our message of utilizing cannabis in a functional and meaningful way, allowing it to be a light in the dark—and also, a really enjoyable time.”
