Pop recording artist, actress, and author Katrina Kusa is back with another bop titled “Rising” and we can’t get enough of it!
After amassing over a million streams and views across her previous releases, Katrina wanted to release a powerful record that claps back at her haters and also encourages her supporters to stand up for themselves and be strong.
In the catchy pop tune, Katrina can be heard singing in her signature tone, “I’m gonna rise up, I’m rising, rising, rising, all that smack you talked you thought it’d bring me down, you tried it.” The message of the song is an important one – never let your haters bring you down.
Katrina, who is known for her bold personality, glitz and glam style, and quirky and fun social media videos, may seem to have it all on the surface, but Katrina wanted to strip back the layers with this release and let her fans in. She shares, “I feel like this song relates to me the most from my everyday life. The story behind the lyrics actually consists of true scenarios I had to deal with. I hope many people will relate to the same things I have been through and see that they are not in this alone.”
In one of Katrina’s most personal releases yet, the young artist touches on the attention she has received since her viral single “Ta$te It,” which was released last year, and puts the haters to rest.
As Katrina’s message echos over a modern production that keeps the song moving, listeners are reminded that everyone goes through difficult times, and they are not alone.
In addition to the single, Katrina Kusa is also sharing an official visualizer for the song that she conceptualized, produced, and edited herself.
