Kim Kardashian was the fashion inspiration for the Featheringtons on the Netflix hit show, Bridgerton.
Several weeks ago, Kardashian binged watched the entire season of Bridgerton, and like all of us, became completely obsessed. She documented her whole binge watching journey by sharing a series of Instagram Stories of her watching the show with her friends, Stephanie Shepard and Tracy Romulus.
On April 20, Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington on the show, tweeted out to Kardashian and said, “As the world’s number one @bridgerton Stan does @KimKardashian know that the Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings? Because I feel like should know this.”

Let’s just say, Kardashian was freaking out.
She responded back to the tweet and said, “WHAT?!?! I am freaking out!!!!!! This tweet was sent to me on my @bridgerton group chat! Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!! I love you Lady W!!!”

Coughlan responded, “Omg yesss of course we would love to have you! Also did you know that Mr Pearl made your corset for the Met Gala and the very next one he made was mine for Bridgerton? You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world for longer than you know!”

This was almost too much for Kim to handle.

Even the Netflix Twitter account chimed in and said, “Kim Featherington does have a nice ring to it– I’ll see what I can do.” Ok Netflix, work your magic, because I think we can all agree we want to see a Kim Kardashian cameo in the next season of the show.
