When it comes to the AMAs, you know the best of the best are coming to not only receive awards, but also to perform their latest hits. This year’s show is no exception, as Mariah Carey has been added to the growing list of performers for the 2018 American Music Awards.
The 10-time AMA winning icon is scheduled to make the world television debut of her new single “With You” on October 9th, marking her first time on the AMA stage since 2008. Carey, who has been touted as the best-selling female artist of all time, first performed at the AMAs in 1991 for a rendition of her dance-pop hit “Someday.”
In addition to Carey, the AMAs added another star-studded collaboration to its performance lineup — benny blanco, Halsey, and four-time nominee Khalid for their live rendition of their nostalgic love song “Eastside.” The track is already in the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and Pop Songs Airplay charts with more than 300 million streams to date.
Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross with performances by Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, and Post Malone feat. Ty Dolla $ign, the 2018 American Music Awards air LIVE from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9th @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
