Meet the Live-Action Vampirina in the Trailer for Disney’s Spookiest New Series “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire” (Watch)

Sharpen your fangs and clear your Friday night schedule, because our favorite spooky songbird is officially making her live-action debut — and she’s ready to hit high notes and break a few hearts. Disney Branded Television just dropped the first teaser trailer for Vampirina: Teenage Vampire, and let’s just say… Transylvania could never.

Premiering Friday, Sept. 12 on Disney Channel (with episodes dropping weekly) and landing in full on Disney+ Oct. 15, this music-driven teen dramedy flips the coffin lid on what you thought you knew about Vee. Gone are the animated days of Disney Junior — now, she’s a full-fledged, purple-eyed high schooler navigating the drama of a performing arts boarding school… while hiding the fact she’s, well, undead.

Of course, nothing screams “smooth transition to human life” like having your overprotective vampire dad send a centuries-old ghost (hi, Demi ) to spy on you 24/7. Totally normal roommate situation, right?

And the guest star lineup? Fang-tastic. Emmy winner Mykal-Michelle Harris (Raven’s Home) is Ruby — think dangerously charming. Horror darling Jenna Davis (M3GAN, M3GAN 2.0) plays magnetic upperclassman Megan. TikTok icon Ariel Martin (ZOMBIES) is dropping beats as pop sensation Millie Eyelash. And Janice LeAnn Brown (Wizards Beyond Waverly Place) pops in for a crossover so magical it could raise the dead.

Holding down the coffin fort is Kenzi Richardson as Vee herself, alongside Jiwon Lee as her sweet-but-savvy roommate Sophie, Shaun Dixon as mysterious Elijah, Milo Maharlika as the ghostly Demi, and Faith Hedley as legacy student Britney. Oh, and yes — Vee’s vampy parents (played by Kate Reinders and Jeff Meacham) are just as adorable and over-the-top as you remember.

From the brains behind Julie and the Phantoms and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Vampirina: Teenage Vampire promises bops, drama, a sprinkle of supernatural chaos, and just enough teenage awkwardness to feel human — even if you’re 312 years old.

DON’T FORGET: The first episodes drop Sept. 12 on Disney Channel and all 16 episodes hit Disney+ Oct. 15. Until then, grab your garlic breadsticks (just to be safe) and watch the brand-new teaser trailer below.
