Nickelodeon has turned to their biggest stars in Hollywood and professional athletes to host the ultimate par-tee!
Come Saturday, June 25, four teams led by PGA champion Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Jon Rahm, and Lexi Thompson will go head-to-head for the prestigious slime cup.
The brand-new competition is produced by the masterminds behind the made-for-TV golf franchise, The Match. The hour-long special will feature the four colorful teams competing in a “Nick-ified” golf course, which will be made up of one-of-a-kind tee boxes, far-out fairways, greens, physical challenges, and of course, lots of slime.
The must-watch tournament will take place at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium in sunny California. To score the grand title, the players will have to battle it out at the final hole. Fan-favorite actress Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, Young Dylan, and CBS Sports’ play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle are slated to provide commentary throughout the must-watch match. iCarly actor Jerry Trainor and Hunter March from Betch will serve as sideline reporters.
Green told Celeb Secrets that she’s looking forward to working alongside Dylan and Eagle once again, as they joined forces for the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon.
“Dylan is like my little brother. We’ve been working together since he was probably nine. So, it’s really a lot of fun to get to work with him again. Anything goes because this is such an unpredictable game, like there’s no possible way to prepare for somebody in a crazy outfit or slime coming out of the ground randomly. So, we’re just kind of taking it one step at a time and just really have fun,” said Green.
Green pointed out that she’s feeling more confident going into Slime Cup, as she brushed up on her sports knowledge and turned to the seasoned reporter for guidance.
“Noah has really taken me under his wing – no pun intended. It’s been a good opportunity for me to kind of expand into other sports as well. I mean, with the very first Wild Card Game, I didn’t know much about Football. So, now that we’ve done that a few times and I’ve gained some sports knowledge, I kind of feel like I know my place a little bit. I bring the fun aspect, and Noah is the logistics part of it. We’re a really good team in that sense,” she added.
As Green is set to push the special along with her bubbly personality and new profound journalism skills, Isaiah Crews will be dominating the course with the pink team. Crew will be working alongside world-renowned golfer Justin Thomas and WWE superstar Nikki Bella to score the grand title. Crew mentioned that his team does not have a strategic strategy in place, but will be crossing their fingers to hit the ball straight in order to get a hole in one.

“I am most looking forward to just seeing the dynamic between the teams. The pink team, it’s kind of the spectrum going down the line,” Crews explained. “Nikki’s the most energetic, I’m in the middle, and Justin is business. Our strategy is – whatever happens, happens when I hit the ball,” he said while laughing.
Despite the heated rivalry, the two hope TV-goers learn more about the lifetime sport while watching the family-friendly special.
“I hope kids learn a little bit more about the game, because it’s so important to give kids every opportunity possible. You never know, they could be the next Tiger Woods, and we inspired that,” Green declared. “I want to do more golf in the future, and I think it’s important for people to try new things,” Crews concluded.
Nickelodeon’s Slime Cup will simulcast on Saturday, June 25, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, and Nicktoons. Will you be watching the star-studded special? Let us know by dropping a reaction below, or by sending us a tweet @CelebSecrets.
