It’s over for Ashley and Michael Darby.
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member confirmed on Tuesday (April 19) she’s separating from her husband of eight years.
She wrote on Instagram with the photo of an article from Bravo, “It’s been almost 8 year magical years. Please check out bravotv.com.”

In a statement sent to The Daily Dish, the 33-year-old said there was no one to blame for their relationship falling out, despite what some people might believe.
“People will be quick to assume that the cases were too much intrusion by reality TV into the most personal parts of our lives, age gap issues, cultural problems or child-rearing differences,” the statement read.
She said their decision to separate was mutual and they’re in different stages of their lives at the moment.
“We are now both at very different stages in our lives and have different goals for our futures,” she said.
Fans were first introduced to the couple when season one of RHOP aired in January 2016. Since then, we’ve watched the Darby’s weather many ups and downs including cheating allegations and sexual harassment claims against Michael. It’s important to note, Michael denied those claims and the misdemeanor was dropped after a few months because of insufficient evidence.
The seasons to follow captured the Darby’s welcoming their first son, Dean Michael Darby, into the world on July 7, 2019. The cameras also followed as she gave birth to their second son, Dylan Matthew Darby, on March 2, 2021.
“We will always love and respect each other,” Ashley said in the statement. “As this is a personal matter for us, we appreciate everyone who has been a part of our journey and ask for your continued support by respecting us as we go through this emotional situation.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac is currently filming season 7. There’s no word yet on if the separation will be caught on camera.
