Slimefest Ready in “Chic”ago: The Boutique and Blow Dry Bar That Need to Be on Your Radar

Whether you’re getting ready for a big night on the red carpet, going out on the town, or just looking to add a little extra flare in your life, it’s important to spend some extra time pampering yourself for the ultimate and most memorable experience.

From New York to Los Angeles, you’ll find some of the best fashion and beauty in the United States — but don’t be so quick to stop there. If you happen to find yourself roaming the streets of the Windy City, Celeb Secrets has found the perfect boutique & salon to get you ready for any occasion.

Bliss & Belle Boutique, located in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago, was at the top of our radar even before we stepped foot in the Midwest. While you might be intimidated at first sight, (I mean, come on — look how perfect this boutique is!) there’s a little bit of something for every woman’s style. From the perfect summer dress to that accessory that ties your whole outfit together, you won’t walk out empty-handed.

B&B’s staff were patient and helped us pick out the perfect look. The entire experience felt more intimate and genuine, as the girls wanted to help pull together an outfit that was going to leave us feeling our best.

Juliet and I were on a mission to find something that not only would be fashionable for Nickelodeon’s Slimefest, but also something that was wearable since the venue was outside at Huntington Bank Pavilion (meaning… cute and comfy all day!!).

It didn’t take long to find what we were looking for… almost instantly we had our eyes (and hearts) set on what clothes and accessories we knew we needed for the event.

And we aren’t surprised. Blake, the owner of Bliss & Belle Boutique, spent 5 years in Los Angeles working for BCBG Max Azria before moving back to Chicago to open her own store, meaning we were in very good hands.

After spending a full day shopping and prepping for the big event, the following morning it was “go” time!

Blowout Junkie, located in the heart of River North, helped accommodate all of our hair and beauty needs. If you’re a bit of a “blowout junkie” yourself, this salon has it all.

Nicole, Tina, and Dora are three sisters who share a love of a great blowout, a passion for fashion and an entrepreneurial spirit.  Their vision helps brings together their favorite products and overall experience to provide the perfect styled look in a fun and energetic atmosphere.

After a bit of a stressful morning, it felt great to get away for a while to let the professionals do what they do best. And as soon as we walked through the door- we hit the ground running. There was no time to waste with a 7:15am call time!

From wash to blow-dry and glitz to glam, there’s no question why Blowout Junkie consistently is one of the top suggested dry bars in Chicago. It was a no brainer and look at the results.

So after all the hype… was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!! Bliss & Belle Boutique and Blowout Junkie get an A+ in our book!
