It might not be the $40 million like in the show, but Squid Game won big at last night’s 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The 2021 Netflix show snagged four nods in categories like “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series” for star Lee Jung-jae; “Outstanding performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series” for star Jung Ho-yeon; “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series;” and “Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Television Series.”

Out of the four nods, the cast and crew of the thriller series took home three SAG Awards. Lee, 49, won “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series,” while Jung, 27, won “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.” The cast also took home the trophy for “Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series,” becoming the first-ever non-English-language show as well as the first Korean show to win SAG Awards.
