Gabby Had A Lucky Strike
Gabby came into her date a little differently because the day before, she visited the men at the Bachelor House. It was here that the men decided to play football instead of really paying attention to Gabby. Gabby felt that the men were not putting in the same effort that she was putting towards them and was really questioning herself as The Bachelorette.
Although Gabby wasn’t feeling her best, she put on a brave face to go on her one-on-one date with Erich. And boy was he in for a special surprise, because joining them was Gabby’s iconic Grandpa John! Bachelor Nation fell in love with Grandpa John from the last season of The Bachelor, with his infectious humor and big heart.
The three of them went on an interesting date as they experienced a spiritual sound bath. This helped Gabby to get rid of the negative feelings she has been having. Grandpa John did end up falling asleep at one point, which helped to lighten the mood. After the sound bath, the couple went bowling and Grandpa John was joined by someone’s grandma.
At night, the couple was officially on their own as they had a romantic dinner. Erich comes from a family where both his parents are still together. Gabby revealed that she and her mom don’t have a relationship and shared, “The second I moved out of the house, she wiped her hands clean.” Gabby got really emotional she had to step away. The Bachelorette shared with producers her fear that she is too “broken” or “complicated” for anyone to love.
Gabby went back to the table and shared her fears with Erich, and he comforted her. Gabby ended up giving Erich the rose as they embraced each other.
