The Suicide Squad is back and there’s more action than ever.
The first trailer for the movie just dropped and it already has us hyped! Just based on the trailer, the film is much more lively and colorful unlike the dark and gloomy aesthetic in its predecessor.
The first film released of the squad of supervillains back in 2016 was directed by David Ayer, and it didn’t do too well when it came to critic reviews.
This time around, the reboot of the film is directed by James Gunn, who is known for directing Marvel‘s Guardians of the Galaxy films, and it already looks incredibly promising. If you’ve seen the Guardian’s films, you can tell this is a work of Gunn’s just based on the notable humor in the trailer alone.
Along with Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney reprising their roles as Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller, and Captain Boomerang, there are new villains joining the Squad! Already in the trailer, we’re introduced to Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Peacemaker (John Cena), Blackguard (Pete Davidson), and King Shark (Sylvester Stallone).
We have high hopes for this film and are really excited to see how it turns out!
