In an unprecedented fete, THE WEEKND had four of the tracks from the album reach platinum or multi-platinum status prior to release. “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” has been certified 4x platinum, “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills” are currently 2x platinum and “Often”is platinum, all as recognized by the RIAA. In another fete prior to release, Beauty Behind The Madness moved in excess of 1 Million album equivalents worldwide prior to release date.
THE WEEKND tapped a dream team of producers for Beauty Behind The Madness including Stephan Moccio, with whom he collaborated on the quadruple-platinum “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey),” Max Martin, Kanye West, and more. The tracklist also boasts feature appearances from Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey and Labrinth.
2015 has been a breakout year for THE WEEKND with three tracks also currently sitting in the Top half of the Billboard Hot 100, two of which sit in the Top 5. He is just the third artist to have two songs in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 simultaneously in 2015, and the first male.
