The greatest time of year is upon us!
Early this morning (November 17), X Games announced the first wave of invited athletes to compete in the hottest event on snow — X Games Aspen 2016.
The first wave includes Gus Kenworthy, Torin-Yater Wallace, Colten Moore, Mike Schultz, Yuki Kadono, Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen, and Arielle Gold. All 2015 medalists with sport disciplines returning in 2016 received an automatic invite to compete in this year’s event, in addition to another 83 invitations to new and returning athletes that did not medal last year.

The full initial list of invited athletes in addition to the competition schedule can be found on www.xgames.com. As always, general admission to the action sports competitions and festival villages is free to the public.
X Games Aspen 2016 returns to Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen Snowmass on January 28-31, 2016 for the 15th consecutive year. ESPN and ABC will televise a combined 16 hours of live X Games Aspen competition footage. Additional competition, music and behind-the-scenes content will be carried on ESPN3 as well as the latest coverage across ESPN digital platforms, including XGames.com, X Games app, X Games pages across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr and more.
