Ashley Roberts is heading to television!
The former Pussycat Dolls member is stepping back in the spotlight to host NBC’s national Emmy-winning travel and lifestyle show 1st Look. The weekly show, which airs immediately after Saturday Night Live (SNL), takes her all across the globe to find the hottest trends in food, nightlight and local activities and excursions.
“I’m having so much fun on the show. I’ve been canyoneering, snorkeled at a shipwreck and learned to Irish dance all in the same week. I get to dive into other people’s world for a day!” Ashley explains.
The show is intended for all audiences and shows you different perspectives of the world. Is there a place you’ve been dying to go to or planning your day to day activities? This show is for you. It dives into people’s lives culturally, much more than your ordinary travel or food show. It’s pretty much like the Food Network and the Travel Channel had a baby and created the perfect exciting, lifestyle show.
Upon deciding to leave the Pussycat Dolls in 2010 after a whirlwind seven years and 54 million records sold worldwide, Ashley challenged herself to venture outside of her comfort zone, which involved a debut album Butterfly Effect in 2014, and also has an album’s worth of new songs on the way, which she plans to reveal soon.
