The winners for the 2021 MTV VMAs are rolling in!
Music’s biggest artists were given awards for their chart topping hits during the annual award show, which was packed with stars, surprises and more from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on Sunday (September 12).
Hosted by Doja Cat, the 2021 MTV VMAs featured epic performances and incredible collaborations from Alicia Keys + Swae Lee, Anitta, Busta Rhymes, Camila Cabello, Chlöe, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Justin Bieber + The Kid LAROI, Kacey Musgraves, Ozuna, Latto, Lil Nas X + Jack Harlow, Machine Gun Kelly + Travis Barker, Normani, Olivia Rodrigo, SAINt JHN, Shawn Mendes + Tainy and Twenty One Pilots. The show also featured on-site appearances from AJ McLean, Ashanti, Avril Lavigne, Billie Eilish, Billy Porter, Ciara, Conor McGregor, Cyndi Lauper, David Lee Roth, Fat Joe, Hailey Bieber, Halle Bailey, Ja Rule, Lance Bass, Leslie Grace, Madison Beer, Megan Fox, Nick Lachey, Rita Ora, Simone Biles, SZA, Tommy Lee, Travis Barker and Wyclef Jean, with a special tribute performance from Foo Fighters in honor of receiving MTV’s Global Icon Award.

Tonight is definitely Olivia Rodrigo‘s night, as the artist made her award show debut like none other. The 18-year-old swept the show with “Song of the Year,” “Best New Artist” and “Push Performance of the Year.” Other noteworthy wins come from Lil Nas X, who won “Video of the Year,” “Best Direction,” and “Best Visual Effects” for “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name).”
