Michelle Yeoh Made History
Prior to Michelle Yeoh winning the Oscar on Sunday for her starring role as a struggling laundromat owner in Everything Everywhere All at Once, an Asian performer had never won the best actress trophy in the Oscars’ 95-year history.
One of several Asian performers’ career triumphs on Sunday was her win, which was also the first for a Malaysian talent.
