Everything You Need to Know About Allies of Skin’s New $39 Peptint Lip Treatment That’s About to Change Your Beauty Routine

If there is one thing we will never get tired of, it is a beauty product that promises to make our routine a little easier.

On Thursday (August 20), Allies of Skin brought its newest beauty obsession to Los Angeles with an exclusive launch event at the Sound Lounge at Revolve at The Grove to introduce its Peptint Tripeptide & Goji Cells Plumping Lip Treatment ahead of its August 26 debut. And yes, Celeb Secrets was on the scene to experience the glossy new launch for ourselves.

The evening was equal parts skincare, music and LA cool, with press, creators and special guests gathering to celebrate the $39 lip treatment — and the reveal of its newest campaign star, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Amber Mark. We found ourselves rubbing shoulders with Francesca Eastwood, Tezza Barton, Annabelle Fleur, Emily Shah, Hana Sim, Amy Chang and Shay Sullivan, too.

Hosted by Allies of Skin Founder and Formulator Nicolas Travis, the event transformed the Sound Lounge into a full-on Peptint playground, complete with aura-inspired music, custom drinks, skin consultations and plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with the product.

At the event, we were able to get personalized skin analyses using SWAN mirrors, followed by consultations with Allies of Skin VP of Innovation Sara Al-Hardan and Travis to create skincare routines based on their individual results. The custom drinks were inspired around the three Peptint moods, including rose for Nirvana, goji berry for Utopia and white grape for Fearless, alongside passed champagne throughout the night.

The night’s biggest reveal came when Allies of Skin introduced Amber Mark as the face of the new Peptint campaign and the brand’s newest ambassador.

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter was a natural fit for the campaign, which connects the three Peptint auras to different sides of her creative world: Fearless represents her studio focus, Utopia her everyday ease and Nirvana her calm, in-the-spotlight energy.

And the connection between music and beauty wasn’t lost on Amber.

“Beauty and music have always felt like the same language to me, they’re both just ways of putting how you feel into something other people can see or hear. That’s what made this partnership feel so natural,” she shared in a statement.

For Amber, Peptint is ultimately about self-expression — something that feels pretty fitting for an artist whose music and style have always played with different moods and identities.

“Peptint is about wearing different energies out loud, which is exactly how I approach every stage I step on,” she continued.

If your beauty philosophy is “why choose between lip care and lip gloss when you can have both?,” you’re going to want to know more about the Peptint.

Think of it as the lovechild of your favorite glossy lip treatment and a serious skincare formula. Peptint Tripeptide & Goji Cells Plumping Lip Treatment is designed to deliver high-shine gloss vibes while treating your lips to hydration and a plumping-looking effect — all in one swipe. The launch also introduces three Peptint auras: Fearless, Utopia and Nirvana, which are designed to be worn together, switched up throughout the day and collected as a trio.

The formula is powered by Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Rose Cells and Goji Berry Cells, bringing the clinical-skincare mentality that Allies of Skin is known for to a category that is typically dominated by makeup. According to the brand, the formula is clinically shown to deliver a 99% improvement in the appearance of lip dryness and cracking after just one use, based on an independent clinical study of 30 people. Translation? This isn’t simply a pretty gloss that sits on top of your lips. It’s meant to be a treatment, too.

What makes Peptint especially interesting is the way Allies of Skin has approached the product as a skincare-first lip treatment that happens to look incredibly glossy, rather than simply putting a few trendy ingredients into a traditional makeup formula.

For anyone whose lips tend to get dry under lip liner, lipstick or even your everyday makeup routine, the treatment angle is definitely worth paying attention to. And because the brand is encouraging consumers to rotate between Fearless, Utopia and Nirvana depending on their mood, it also makes the collection feel more like a beauty accessory than another product destined to disappear into the bottom of your makeup bag.

Basically, if your current lip routine consists of applying gloss, realizing your lips are dry, wiping it off, applying balm and then putting gloss back on again… Peptint may be coming for your entire routine. Because if we’re going to carry a lip product everywhere anyway, it might as well be one that works overtime.

Allies of Skin‘s Peptint Tripeptide & Goji Cells Plumping Lip Treatment retails for $39 and will be available on the brand’s website, Revolve and select retailers beginning August 26.
