Aaron Judge Ties Roger Maris for Most Home Runs in a season by an American League Player with 61

The Yankees slugger has done it!

Aaron Judge has officially cemented himself in Yankees and Major League Baseball history as he has officially tied former Yankees great Roger Maris’ 61 home run record, as Judge hit long-ball 61 in Toronto on September 28 as the Yankees would end up beating the Blue Jays 8-3.

Ever since entering the league in 2017, Judge has always had high expectations from others and has always risen to the occasion, which is mostly not the case with guys entering the league with many expectations from fans around the baseball world. Judge has again proven why he was highly praised when getting his big league call-up. Judge has also been a staple, if not the main staple, for the New York Yankees throughout his career.

Judge, of course, will have high expectations once again as the Yankees look to go on a deep run in the upcoming postseason after clinching the AL East division title just a few days ago.

Judge decided to give home run number 61 to his mother after the game, which was a beautiful gesture from Judge, giving such a critical piece of his career to one of the people who has been supporting him in life in general forever as well as helping him in his baseball career from when he was a little kid to now.

All in all, Yankee fan or not all baseball-loving individuals should realize the greatness we presently have in front of us and take advantage of the opportunity of watching one of the greatest players this league has ever seen.
