It’s not often that an artist gets to end one world and launch another in the same weekend. But then again, Alan Walker has never played by the rules.
On May 31, the global DJ/producer lit up Central Park’s SummerStage with the final stop of his Walkerworld Tour—a two-and-a-half-hour sensory experience that marked the end of a nearly two-year run across North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. Over 500,000 fans have witnessed Walker’s immersive, cinematic show since 2023. The New York finale was more than a performance. It was a moment.
“The Walkerworld show started off as just a 90-minute concert,” Walker told Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder ahead of the big night over Zoom. “And then I gradually started implementing more and more of my music. So, it went from 90 minutes to 120, and now it’s about two and a half hours.”

Set against the glow of the Manhattan skyline, Walker’s final set included beloved tracks like “Faded,” “All Falls Down,” and “Thick of It All,” plus his brand-new single “Me, Myself and The Night” — which had just dropped the day before. Joined on stage by collaborators like Anne Gudrun and Finnish pop star Robin Packalen, the night was both high energy and deeply personal.
“For me, it’s become such a big experience for the fans,” he shared. “It’s been a long journey — two years, as you mentioned — and it’s been really fun. We’ve taken it all around the world, and we’re closing it off in New York. It’s been incredible.”
But behind all the lights, lasers, and euphoric drops, the night held a bittersweet weight.
“It’s been a good run,” he reflected. “As one chapter closes, another one starts.”

So what’s next? As it turns out, something way bigger than a tour. During the NYC finale, Walker announced the World of Walker (WoW) app—his first-of-its-kind digital universe, launching globally on August 8. Think: a fan community, exclusive content hub, streaming platform, and creative incubator all in one. In other words: a virtual sanctuary made for Walkers, by Walker.
“Since pretty much day one — since ‘Faded’ was released — we’ve always had a forum or community platform,” he explained. “The app is just an extension of that… where we connect fans, expand, include fans, and do more exclusive projects.”
At its core, WoW is designed to cut through the noise of traditional social media and let fans connect with Alan — and each other— on their own terms.
“Too often, that connection gets filtered — buried by platforms deciding what deserves to be seen,” he said. “For me, it’s an experiment. It could be 50/50 — either it works or it doesn’t. But it’s a really cool thing to try. And I think this is the first time something like this will be done.”

The next chapter isn’t just digital. It’s deeply musical, too. Alan’s latest single “Me, Myself and The Night” offers a moody, melodic return to his signature sound — one that longtime Walkers will instantly recognize.
“This song started off at a writing camp about a year ago in the Bahamas,” he revealed. “We just worked on the production for quite a while, and now we’re here — a year later — and it’s out.”
“It’s a song a lot of the core Alan Walker fans would like, because of the style and melody. It’s very melancholic.”
But beyond nostalgia, the track sets the tone for what’s to come. “My goal for the last six months has been to do more songs that reflect the old Alan Walker,” he said. “At the same time as we cater to new audiences, we also still cater to the old fans who’ve stuck with us.”
To celebrate the end of the Walkerworld era, Alan is also dropping a 30-minute immersive film titled Walkerworld: The Last Ride — a streaming-only experience available exclusively through the WoW app.
“It’s going to be cinematic,” he teased. “We did something similar with the Aviation Tour before. It’s a cool way to show what we can build. All the music videos have been very cinematic—it’s almost like our own little music TV series that people can follow.”
For Alan, it all ties into his bigger mission: blending sound, visuals, and technology into a fully immersive musical multiverse. “It’s become a very fan-forward universe,” he said. “A universe for people to follow.”
This year also marks a huge milestone — a decade since “Faded” changed his life forever. “I’ve never felt annoyed or tired of playing it,” he said. “I can see the joy, the happiness, and how it gets crowds going. It really shows how timeless the song is.”
So what would 2025 Alan Walker tell 2015 Alan Walker? “Just keep doing what you’re doing. You’re on the path.”

Despite the scale of everything he’s building, Alan insists he’s not setting wild benchmarks or rigid goals. “I feel like — just keep on grinding, do more shows, make more music, and please the fanbase and community as much as I can.”
And while fans might see him as an untouchable digital music pioneer, Alan keeps it real. When asked for one unfiltered truth about success, his answer is surprisingly humble.
“You can chase it as much as you want, but it doesn’t mean you’ll achieve it,” he said. “For me, it came unexpected. I just made music for fun, posted it online, and suddenly it was trending. It led to a career… without me really pursuing it.”
So, what does this new era really look like? Think: more music, more collabs (hi, Steve Aoki), more immersive experiences, and more meaningful connection.
“There’s a lot of exciting stuff,” he confirmed. “We’ve been playing some of the unreleased songs around the world this year… and I think the whole Walker Universe is going to see a lot of cool music and future shows.”
And if there’s one theme that will carry this new era forward? “That people aren’t alone. That you always have someone near you.”

Alan Walker isn’t just dropping songs. He’s building a world—one where music, tech, visuals, and community collide to create something fans can actually live in. From a jam-packed SummerStage finale to an app that could change how fans engage forever, this is more than a victory lap.
It’s a reset button. It’s Walkerworld 2.0. And it’s only just beginning.
