The time has finally come! Ariana Grande is blessing us with live performances of songs off of her latest record, Positions.
In collaboration with VEVO, Grande released an ethereal performance of her song “pov” on Monday (June 21). In the video, the singer stuns in a two-piece outfit paired with purple evening gloves. She sings the heartfelt ballad as she walks through a meadow of flowers while a purple light illuminates above her.
According to Rolling Stone, there are more performances to come from Grande’s partnership with the music video provider. JP Evangelista, the SVP of Content, Programming & Marketing at VEVO, talked about how excited they are to team up with the singer in a statement.
Evangelista said, “We are so excited to release these exclusive video performances to Ariana’s fans. We’ve loved Ariana’s music for years, and it’s been such a privilege to watch her artistry grow and evolve. An immensely creative and collaborative artist is key to these visually stunning performances and Ariana embodies that — her efforts translated beautifully onscreen. We look forward to seeing her continue to blossom and hope everyone enjoys watching these.”
At first, fans were speculating if there would be additional videos to come. Shortly after the video premiered, Grande confirmed the speculations with a post to her Instagram story. She posted a screenshot of a comment from Vevo which says, “We’re just getting started 💜✨.”
On Friday (June 18), the pop singer originally teased the performances with a photoset posted to her social media accounts.
