Backstreet’s back, alright!
BSB took to social media today to announce some MAJOR news for fans. They are going on their biggest arena tour in eighteen years AND releasing an album titled DNA on January 25, 2019!
To really bring meaning to the album name, the guys analyzed their individual DNA profiles to see what crucial element each member represents in the group’s DNA. The adorable video shows how their individual strains, when brought together, create the unstoppable and legendary Backstreet Boys.
Fans are also getting the first taste of DNA today, as the band released their new single “Chances.” Penned by Ryan Tedder and Shawn Mendes, the song is on all streaming platforms now.
“When this group started 26 years ago – and through all the highs and lows of our career – we’ve had to learn it wasn’t about us as individuals but about what’s best for the group,” says Howie D.
“That’s what I love about this album,” adds Kevin Richardson. “We were able to bring all of our influences and styles into one coherent piece of work. These songs are a great representation of who we are as individuals and who we are as a group. It’s our DNA. We’re really proud of that.”
“The journey is ongoing with us and there is so much left to do,” says Brian Littrell. “We’re living the next chapter that hasn’t been told yet, and that’s exciting.”
Beginning on May 11th, the DNA World Tour will have the guys performing all over Europe and North America over the course of three months, headlining venues including Capital One Arena in Washington DC, United Center in Chicago, the O2 Arena in London, and many more. Tickets will go on sale November 14th at LiveNation.com. Every ticket purchased to the North American headlining tour will include one (1) physical copy of their 10th studio album DNA.
Earlier this year, Celeb Secrets caught up with the guys at 103.5’s KTUphoria in New York to talk about performing live and what’s to come from the band for 2018 and 2019. Teasing that a new album and tour would be announced this fall (now), we could see from the excitement on their faces that it’s going to be something worth the wait.

“When we perform, we hit the fans hard with all of the classics,” the band told CS exclusively. “‘I Want It That Way’ is obviously a crowd pleaser, but the response we’ve been getting from our newer music is really, really positive. Fans are loving ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” so that’s a fun one to perform. It’s fun to do that one because it’s new and fresh and we still get butterflies because we don’t want to mess up.”
We can’t wait to see what the guys have in store for us on this upcoming tour!
