Synth pop sensation Benee has been taking over the world with her catchy hooks and danceable tracks, so when the 22-year-old had plans to end her fun-filled world tour in Los Angeles on Thursday (June 30), the Celeb Secrets team knew that they had to go and check it out.

Headlining The Novo in the heart of Downtown LA, the New Zealand native opened her set with a boat load of excitement and enthusiasm, resulting in a roaring welcome from the packed crowd. The energy could be felt and heard throughout the room as the intro to her song “Make You Sick” echoed through the speakers.

Dancing onstage with a full band behind her, Benee performed her new song “Tough Guy” followed by Hey u x classics “Happen To Me” and “Same Effect.”

The two-hour set was filled with fan interaction; Benee accepted stuffed snails as gifts, rambled about not having a hobby and even said hi to a baby on FaceTime! There was a fantastic mix new of old songs, including the infamous “TikTok Song,” “Supalonely,” “Glitter,” and “Find an Island” for the OGs, and “snail,” “doesn’t matter,” and “marry myself” off her sophomore release Lychee for the new fans.

The 22-year-old ended the night with a literal bang, as an explosion of rainbow fog and confetti filled the venue following her encore. “For Pride Month!!! HAPPY PRIDE!” she said before leaving the stage.

Out of the many artists we’ve seen, Benee is by far one of the most entertaining and charismatic acts on the market right now, easily snagging the title for our new favorite artist. We highly recommend not only listening to her music, but also catching a show of hers whether it be a headlining or festival set.

Benee plans to play more shows in 2023, however, in 2022, she’s headed to Austin, Texas on October 7th for a performance at Zilker Park, followed by two nights in Auckland, New Zealand with the Auckland philharmonic orchestra on October 21 and 22.

Do you like Benee’s music? Let us know by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebesecrets.
