This past Thursday (June 22nd), Betsey Johnson collaborated with Miley Cyrus’ Happy Hippie Foundation to host a star-studded event in Los Angeles. This event celebrated their stunning Pride month collection, which you can shop for right HERE, featuring one-of-a-kind shoes, jewelry, handbags and more.
According to Betsey Johnson’s official website, “Beginning in the 1970s, [her] mission was to create a community through fashion where all people were welcome and free to express themselves. Long before the industry caught on, Betsey used her runway shows to showcase inclusion and messages of social advocacy. Today, the Betsey Johnson brand is committed to creating a safer world for the LGBTQ+ community.”
As for the collaboration itself, “This year, we’re committed to donating to the Happy Hippie Foundation to advance their mission of providing homeless youth, LGBTQ+ youth and other vulnerable populations with consistent support services, education, and employment opportunities. All Happy Hippie operational costs are funded privately, so 100% of all donations directly benefit young people in need.”
Said to be “inspired by Studio 54 and Andy Warhol’s The Factory, guests got a glimpse into the life of Betsey Johnson while commemorating her history with the LGBTQIA+ community” at this special event, which was packed with some of today’s biggest celebs.
Stars like Chrishell Stause, Loren Gray, Teala Dunn, Harper Watters, Lydia Night and more were in attendance, showing support for their friend Betsey and celebrating the beauty of Pride month all night long.
To top it ALL off, There were numerous performances from some legendary Rupaul’s Drag Race alums, such as Gottmik, Kandy Muse and Vanessa Vanji Mateo, all while Aquaria spun some FIRE tunes for guests to enjoy.
