Britney Spears’ Longtime Manager Larry Rudolph Resigns

Britney Spears’ longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, has announced his resignation.

According to Deadline, Rudolph sent a letter on Monday (July 5) to Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, and attorney Jodi Montgomery. He talks about the last time he spoke to the singer, which was 2 1/2 years ago. He says, “It has been over 2 1/2 years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus.”

Rudolph explains that he learned of Spears’ desire to retire and feels that his services are no longer required. “Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire. As you know, I have never been a part of the conservatorship nor its operations, so I am not privy to many of these details,” he continues. “I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”

Rudolph was Spears’ manager for 25 years. He joined her team when she was starting her career back in the mid-1990s. He currently manages Steven Tyler and Aerosmith.

This announcement is the latest development in Spears’ battle to be freed of her conservatorship. Last week, it was reported that her request to remove her father as a co-conservator was denied. Shortly after, financial company Bessemer Trust withdrew from their role as co-conservators.

Celebrities have continuously sent their love to Spears. Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, Jamie-Lynn Spears, and Iggy Azalea have all come forward in the past few weeks to lend words of support for the pop star.
