BTS Drops Epic Teaser for New Single “Permission to Dance” (Watch)

More music is on the way for BTS! After keeping the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the sixth consecutive week in a row now with their hit single “Butter,” the K-Pop boy band just dropped a teaser video yesterday (July 6) for their new single “Permission To Dance.”

In the video, band member Suga kicks things off by reading a newspaper in front of an isolated laundromat before walking out to join the other bandmates. Standing in their matching denim outfits, the guys are shown snapping their fingers and swaying their hips to the infectious beat of their new song.

While the 30-second clip does not reveal too much about this next project, fans can expect to see all of BTS’s signature dance moves, but with a different spin.

Permission to Dance” is co-penned by Ed Sheeran and will be included in the CD single of “Butter,” their latest, hit that reigns at No.1 on the Billboard charts. The four-track CD single will feature both of these songs and their instrumental versions and will be available beginning this Friday, July 9.

Sheeran has already previously teased the release of this new music during his virtual appearance on Most Requested Live. The “Thinking Out Loud” singer talked about his own new single “Bad Habits” and his experience working with BTS.

He said, “I’ve actually worked with BTS on their last record, and I’ve just written a song for their new record.” He seemed to enjoy working with the boyband, as he added, “they’re super, super cool guys as well.”
