BTS is coming back to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!
According to Variety, BTS will be appearing on the late-night show for two nights in July. On July 13th, the K-pop superstar group will debut the live performance of their new song, “Permission to Dance.” They will also sit down for an interview with Jimmy Fallon. On July 14th, the group will return to perform their chart-topping single, “Butter.”
After the announcement was made, Fallon took to Twitter to post a video celebrating the news. In the video, he tosses a piece of butter onto a frying pan. He pans the camera to a note hanging above his stove that says “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.” He writes a checkmark next to “Butter” as the text “July 13” and “July 14” appears at the bottom of the screen.
The group last performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in late September and early October of 2020. They did a week-long takeover titled “BTS Week,” where they performed their songs “Mikrokosmos,” “Black Swan,” “HOME,” and “Idol.” They even did a special rendition of “Dynamite” with Fallon and The Roots.
