Caitlynne Curtis is “Dreaming” of What It Could Be with Her Crush in New Visual (Premiere)

Caitlynne Curtis is gearing up for the release of her new single “Dreaming” and Celeb Secrets has your first listen and look to the song’s stunning visual.

The budding songstress, whose new single is dropping tomorrow, tells Celeb Secrets that “Dreaming” is a pretty straightforward song that comes from the personal experience of being friend zoned by her crush for the “hot” girl.

“It’s about a girl who can’t be with the person she loves, but she sees him every night in her dreams. It’s something everyone can relate to at some point in their life,” she says.

When it came time to put together the visual, Curtis fully embraced the song’s title and whimsical pop sound, as she can be seen literally “dreaming” about her crush in both a comfy bed and in pink clouds.

“The whole video was really a team effort. From creating the pink clouds by hand to keeping the bunnies from hopping away, it was all hands on deck. It’s amazing to see the entire storyline come together just how I imagined it; a dream scenario and that moment where you wake up and are so disappointed that it wasn’t real,” she says.

“I wanted to show the other girl in the video who my crush was choosing over me in real life, as well as the dream scene where we were together. I was also dead set on the alarm clock. I really wanted that to be the cue that brought me back to reality at the end of the video.”

Curtis also enlisted her son Jonah to play Cupid in certain scenes, and according to the singer, he loved every. minute. of. it.

“My son, Jonah, had the best time getting to play the cupid character in this video. He jumps at any chance to be in front of a camera so he was so excited that it didn’t even matter to him that he was going to be painted gold head to toe. He even got to take one of the bunnies home as a pet…and named it Jake From State Farm. We’re not sure if it’s a girl or boy so if we’re wrong on the gender we’ve decided we’ll call it Jackie.”

Caitlynne Curtis started singing when she was 3 years old. When she was 6 her mom put her in voice lessons. The minute she got her first solo she says, “It’s like I knew from then on that music is what I wanted to do.”

Her parents moved their whole family down to Nashville from Massachusetts when she was twelve so that she could pursue music. After receiving a heartbreaking rejection from X Factor at the tender age of 16, Caitlynne thought she blew her chance at being a singer, but she never really gave up. Her life took a detour when she had her son at 19. Selling cars to support herself and her son, she would record covers of songs to her Instagram as a small way to keep her dream alive. Fortunately, the stars aligned and the right person came along to change everything.

Now, thirteen years after moving to Nashville, Caitlynne released singles “Listen” and “Therapy,” along with her two duets with Struggle JenningsGod We Need You Now” and “Hush.” “Dreaming” is definitely not the last that we’ll be hearing from Caitlynne in 2020, as the singer confirmed a new single is on the way before her big album drop in 2021.

“The same week we shot this video we also shot one for another song on my upcoming album,” she says. “We’ll be releasing it in the coming months prior to the full album in early 2021, so stay tuned!”
