Canadian and Korean DJ Dabin is “Excited” to Bring His ‘Between Broken’ Tour to Los Angeles This Weekend (Exclusive)

Canadian and Korean EDM DJ Dabin has been electrifying stages across North America this year with his Between Broken Tour, and Los Angeles will be in for a treat when his show stops at the Shrine Expo Hall on Friday (March 11).

The massive 31-date headlining run, which is named after his most recent release Between Broken, kicked off in Milwaukee on January 27 and has already made its way to venues like Terminal 5 in New York City, Franklin Hall in Philadelphia, and Nashville’s Eastside Bowl. And while the -year-old is excited to take on the City of Angels this weekend, he will never forget the recent sell-out in the Big Apple, noting that it has been his favorite tour moment to date.

“I think selling out Terminal 5 in New York was kind of crazy! I distinctly remember being on stage and kind of getting imposter syndrome and just thinking, ‘Whoa what am I doing here?'” he tells Celeb Secrets reporter Kaitlyn Carrera over the phone. “It was a dream come true.”

Teasing that Friday’s show will “probably be one of the best-looking shows on the entire tour,” Dabin’s excitement for his performance continues to grow as the big moment quickly approaches.

“It’s so scary. It’s like awesome,” Dabin shared with Celeb Secrets. “I just got the ticket count the other day and I was blown away by the support from the fans. The California crowd is always so amazing, and in LA especially, they always show and have a good time. They are one of my favorite crowds, so the idea of being able to do that with 5,000 of them is so nuts. I also have a lot of friends and family coming out to support so, [Friday] is going to be a special one.”

And if he has some downtime before his sold-out extravaganza, the -year-old hopes to hit up some of his favorite Korean barbecue joints that are conveniently a quick drive from the venue.

“I’ll definitely try to go get some Korean barbecue in LA,” he shared. “Every time I go to LA, I’m always telling my friends or my girlfriend, ‘yo, we gotta go get Korean barbecue right now.'”

The world of EDM — aka electronic dance music for those who don’t know — relies heavily on good production to make the performance great. Dabin promises that the Between Broken Tour will be one to remember, as he worked extremely hard with his team to bring his dream production to life. He credits and gives thanks to everyone that plays a role in the production, however, he notes that one of the biggest planning moments was giving input to his tour manager about visuals and lighting.

Besides making music and performing, Dabin has also broken boundaries in the EDM world for numerous reasons. Representing both Korean and Canadian culture, the singer shared his thoughts on being an inspiration for others, “I honestly, didn’t put too much thought into when I was starting out, but it’s kind of become more relevant,” he explained. “Just being raised from a Korean household, it’s really hard to tell your parents that you want to go do music or anything creative. Sometimes they don’t accept it, but I’m super blessed to be in the position that I am now. And I just hope that I’m representing all us Asians the best that I can.’”
