The Married…with Children alum was nominated for a SAG Award this year for “Best Performance by a Female Actress” in a Comedy Series for her work in Dead to Me. Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), and Jean Smart, who won for her work in Hacks, were among those nominated alongside her.
Given that the actress recently revealed that her work as Jen Harding in Netflix’s Dead to Me might have been her final on-screen acting assignment, Christina’s most recent nomination stood out as being especially noteworthy.
“Right now, I couldn’t imagine getting up at 5 a.m. and spending 12 to 14 hours on a set,” the 51-year-old recently told the Los Angeles Times. “I don’t have that in me at this moment.”

But the star is not completely done with Hollywood quite yet! Instead she is determined to expand her horizons into doing voice-overs “(…)to get some money to make sure that my daughter’s fed and we’re homed.”
Fans can expect a fun new side of Applegate as she transitions into the tough side of MS.
