CNCO Returns To Los Angeles for High-Energy “Toa La Noche” Club Tour (Review)

It’s no secret that the live music scene was significantly impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic when it swept across the globe almost two years ago. Artists had no choice but to postpone their extravagant concert tours, and were unfortunately only left with hopes and dreams of returning to the stage again.

With an FDA-approved vaccine readily available and restrictions starting to be lifted, music groups like CNCO are beginning to pick up right where they left off. The award-winning group went back on the road earlier this summer for a 16-date Toa La Noche Club Tour, making a stop in Los Angeles last Friday (September 3) for their first LA performance in almost two years.

Taking place at The Vermont in Hollywood, Erick Brian Colon, Richard Camacho, Christopher Velez, and Zabdiel De Jesús came together onstage for the first time since the departure of former member Joel Pimentel earlier this year; showing fans the new era they’ve been teasing with their latest single “Toa La Noche.”

As a CNCO fan myself (a CNCOwner), I was excited attend to my first post-COVID show and support the band. Doors to the show opened at 8PM, however, eager fans started lining up at 2PM; and as soon as the doors opened, fans swarmed in — screaming of course — ready to see the boys.

Once CNCO hit the stage, fans began chanting and singing every single lyric to their songs. With their harmonic, soulful-pop vibes, Erick, Richard, Christopher and Zabdiel performed a total of 12 songs, including their smash hits “Hey DJ,” “Reggaeton Lento,” and “Pegao.”

There were several special moments during the show that stood out to me. One of them was when the band took the time to thank their fans for their loyal support, with Velez explaining how memorable their 5-year journey had been thanks to everyone who casted a vote, streamed their music or followed them on social media.

Upon leaving the venue, I couldn’t help but notice how several fans were crying and still singing CNCO songs while waiting to catch a glimpse of their favorite member. The fans reminded of when I used to fan-girl over boy bands when I was younger, and it honestly made me so happy to see that the iconic boy band feeling is still alive in 2021.
