Corbin Bleu and Jason Earles Are Guest Starring in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” Season 3

It’s the start of something new! Disney+ announced today (January 18) that season three of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is officially in production in Los Angeles and will be released just in time for summer.

We all know bigger is better and better is bigger, therefore, the cast continues to grow with special guest appearances. Prepare to have nostalgic memories rushing your way, as some iconic Disney Channel alums will be added to the show’s already star-studded talent.

Created and executive-produced by Tim Federle (“Ferdinand,” “Better Nate Than Ever”), season three is set at Camp Shallow Lake, a family-owned sleepaway camp in California, as the Wildcats and their fellow campers stage a high-stakes production of “Frozen” and determine who is “best in snow.” In addition to songs from “Frozen,” campfires, summer romances and sleepless nights, viewers can expect to hear some of their favorite songs from both Camp Rock and the OG High School Musical.

But that’s not all that’s coming from the new season. The streaming giant confirmed the show’s newest cast members today, which include Adrian Lyles as “Jet,” Camp Shallow Lake’s mysterious new kid, and Saylor Bell (“I Didn’t Do It”) as “Maddox,” a bright-eyed, quick-witted “techie,” who always follows the rules; along with Disney alums Corbin Bleu, Jason Earles and Meg Donnelly.  Bleu — who is best known for his role as “Chad Danforth” in the HSM franchise — will guest star as himself; Jason — who is best known for his role as “Jackson Stewart” in Hannah Montana — is set to play Dewey Wood, the stone-faced, killjoy Camp Director of Camp Shallow Lake; and Meg — who is best known for her role in the Zombies franchise — is set to play “Val,” a confident and funny college student and longtime camper-turned-Counselor-in-Training, who is ready to choreograph the summer production of “Frozen.”

The new cast joins series regulars Joshua Bassett (“Ricky”), Matt Cornett (“E.J.”), Sofia Wylie (“Gina”), Julia Lester (“Ashlyn”), Dara Reneé (“Kourtney”), Frankie Rodriguez (“Carlos”), Kate Reinders (“Miss Jenn”), Olivia Rose Keegan (“Lily”) and Olivia Rodrigo (“Nini”).
